Eastern North Carolina Pork Baste

4 cups cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
1-1/2 teaspoons cayenne
1 teaspoon pepper

Mix ingredients well and use as basting sauce.
